QNAP Releases QVR DoorAccess, the QNAP AI Facial Recognition Access Control System

Taipei, Taiwan, March 9, 2021 – QNAP® Systems, Inc (QNAP), a leading computing, networking and storage solution innovator, today launched QVR DoorAccess, a new smart access control system that works with QNAP surveillance applications and QVR Face smart facial recognition to provide a smart, safe and convenient door access system.

QVR DoorAccess works with QNAP QVR surveillance applications and AI image analytics to provide biometrics-based recognition that ensures strict identity authentication. QVR DoorAccess also supports simultaneous real-time multi-face recognition, user-configured VIP/stranger lists, and clock-in screenshots to prevent fraud and improve HR management. Video playback is also supported to review video recordings on specific events for more secure management.

“QVR DoorAccess is an effective replacement for standard contact access control systems, providing a centralized management solution that easily integrates with QNAP’s QVR ecosystem to secure entry points for buildings and facilities,” said Jason Tsai, Product Manager of QNAP, adding “we are dedicated to improving QVR DoorAccess, including adding support for more third-party access control systems.”

QVR DoorAccess categorizes 5 management items: “door access controller”, “doors”, “users”, “access rules”, and “access logs”, providing users with easier system management. QVR DoorAccess is compatible with third-party access control systems (currently supports HUNDURE RAC-960, RAC-2000 series). Users can also establish a face database and see recognition history using QVR Face.

The QVR DoorAccess smart access control system is license-based software that can be downloaded from QNAP Software Store. After purchasing a QVR DoorAccess license, the subscription supports one access door (including two door access controllers for inner and outer door). Users can add additional door licenses as needed to build a comprehensive access control system. For more product information and to view the full QNAP NAS lineup, please visit www.qnap.com.
